There is no better place to be than an English, (or Welsh!) garden in summer, with lavender and roses in bloom you know that the season will soon be at its peak. To celebrate we are currently running an English garden promotion bringing together the best of the genre with some attractive prices. Look out for our prairie planting promotion later in the summer bringing together the best late summer perennials with ornamental grasses in a style which has become very popular in Europe and is now virtually a necessity for an RHS Chelsea show garden. Make plans for areas that will soon be going over- ornamental poppies or bleeding hearts can leave a big gap in the border as they die back in the summer – a well positioned late developing ornamental grass or late season perennial such as Echinacea can help extend the season of interest. Bamboos are ideal for their exotic appearance and strong vertical accent, sending out fresh growth now and range from £14.99 to £79.99. A selection of English grown specimens is always available to give instant effect. The A-Z shrub and climber section is always well stocked with 3 ltr plants and now contains an unrivalled range of quality and sought after plants.. Shrubs in 1 ltr pots are on offer at £2.99 or four for £10 and this offer now extends to our ever popular 1 ltr herbaceous plants and conifers. To complete the range we always stock a selection of specimens in sizes from 5 ltr to 15 ltr costing £20 or £35 or more for those who demand instant results. Herbaceous plants are well represented, many varieties offered are exclusive to Blooms of Bressingham, Geranium Rozanne and Campanula Blue Waterfall are much in evidence. Late summer flowering plants such as Echinacea and Rudbeckia are now coming in and will soon be in flower these are increasingly popular. There is a well stocked, area of Ornamental Grass. Coloured forms are well to the fore in early season. Roses are consistently voted Britain’s favourite flower and enjoy regular coverage in the gardening press and television coverage of shows.
