Veronica prostrata ‘Goldwell’

This unique new Veronica was discovered as a sport growing in the garden of Peter Briggs from Farnham, Surrey. Using cutting material from just one sport, Blooms New Plant Marketing have successfully managed to trial and propagate the plant for commercial production and this delightful variegated ground covering Veronica has remained true to type producing a good, vigorous and sturdy plant.

  • Height 8cm (3 inches)
  • Width 45cm (18 inches)
  • Hardy perennial, easy to grow
  • Attractive variegated evergreen golden yellow and green foliage, which takes on a red flush during the winter months
  • Small bright blue speedwell like flowers with white centres during summer
  • Flowers May to July
  • Forms mats of non-invasive spreading stems
  • Site in a sunny open position in well-drained soil
  • Ideal in small borders, front of larger borders, alpine and scree beds
