The Crocosmia 'Golden Ballerina' has been introduced by Plant Breeder Ken Rigney in July 2006. It grows to a height of approximately 90cm with a width of 45cm and has large downward facing flower heads coloured an intense orange-red and light green ribbed linear shaped leaves. The petals are narrow and stamens protrude like orange–red anthers to give the appearance of graceful ballerina's feet.
It is best planted in a sunny position, likes well drained fertile soil and will flower from July to September.
